Chief Executive Officer
Rajiv Poduval, MD, is the CEO of Global Nephrology Solutions (GNS). Based on his experience in several leadership roles, he sensed the need for a physician-led practice management platform that could leverage the power of a growing physician network, robust data analytics, and creative population health initiatives to keep physicians relevant, independent, and at the center of patient-care delivery.
Since 2011, he has served as the president of Southwest Kidney Institute (SKI), one of the country’s premier nephrology groups. Southwest Kidney Institute is a well-diversified company including Southwest Vascular Centers, Southwest Clinical Research Institute, SKI Properties, and SKI-DaVita Dialysis Centers. Under his leadership, SKI has expanded its physician base, achieved its desired market density, and strengthened its statewide business partnerships. He was instrumental in launching the SKI-DaVita-Banner ESCO in Phoenix and Tucson, bringing together three progressive organizations committed to value-based care.
In 2012, the Renal Care Organization was launched. He has served as RCO’s CEO since its founding, and the RCO’s growing national footprint is a testament to his commitment to build “partnerships without boundaries,” a model in which like-minded nephrologists could share a platform of clinical excellence committed to high-quality population health initiatives. He is also the CEO of RCO Analytics, which hosts one of the largest CKD databases in the country.
He completed both his nephrology and transplant nephrology fellowships at the University of Chicago and has been practicing both specialties in the Phoenix metro for 14 years. Under his guidance, SKI’s transplant division has developed into one of the largest in the state.
Dr. Poduval holds faculty appointments at both the University of Arizona College of Medicine and the Creighton University School of Medicine, and has been recognized for excellence in teaching. He is a member of RPA’s NCAP steering committee. He has also been recognized as a “top doc” in Phoenix Magazine.
Chief Operating Officer
Dr. Gurdev Singh, MD CPHIMS is a founding partner and COO of Global Nephrology Solutions (GNS). Additionally, he has served on the DaVita Falcon physician advisory board and Athena health physician advisory board. He is an active member of the several physician organizations. He is a practicing nephrologist who is triple board certified in nephrology, clinical informatics, and internal medicine.
He completed his internal medicine residency at Geisinger Medical Center and fellowship in nephrology at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. Dr. Singh is currently a partner and executive board member at Southwest Kidney Institute, PLC (SKI) and serves as a medical director for the SKI-DaVita Sweetwater dialysis unit. He is a founding member and CIO of Renal Care Organization (RCO) and RCO Analytics LLC.
Dr. Singh’s interests, outside of direct patient care, cover a broad spectrum of IT and medical finance. He is passionate about creating and implementing automated processes across the organization, using IT tools and analytics with the goal of driving quality outcomes, and improving patient care while achieving financial success. Dr. Singh volunteered on the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Ambulatory Committee, served as its co-chair, and was a liaison to HIMSS Clinical Business Intelligence committee. He also chaired the HIMSS work group “New to Medical Informatics.” He has successfully spearheaded several projects at SKI, resulting in improved clinical and financial outcomes. SKI achieved 100% provider attestation of meaningful use for three successive years. He is a serial entrepreneur and has been instrumental in launching and managing successful companies with goal of improving quality of healthcare across nephrology at a lower cost, while preserving physician independence.
Vice President of Strategy, Informatics and Population Health
Lauren Ellenburg is the director of informatics and population health at Global Nephrology Solutions. Prior to this, she served as both regional area manager and director of informatics at Southwest Kidney Institute (SKI) where she was instrumental in streamlining operations and successfully overseeing SKI’s clinical EHR transition and meaningful use implementation. Her expertise in informatics and analytics led to an active role in creating a robust data analytics system through RCO Analytics, which today hosts one of the largest CKD databases in the country.
She partners with physicians and practices alike to translate data into tangible operational protocols and procedures driving value-based care and bringing service excellence to patients. After spending nearly a decade in healthcare, Lauren understands the evolving landscape and the need for cost-effective population health initiatives.
Lauren has led several initiatives that positively affect the care of the high-risk, vulnerable CKD population, including ED diversion programs, transitional care clinics, and chronic care coordination platforms. Her success derives from a sound understanding of the complexities of the evolving healthcare system and the constant need to lead change in the private practice environment.
Lauren currently oversees the analytics team and has been charged with launching our national chronic care coordination platform.
Lauren earned her MBA from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University in May 2018 and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Arizona State University.
Director of Revenue Cycle Management
Cindi Wells is the Director of Revenue Cycle Management for Global Nephrology Solutions. She manages the credentialing, coding, insurance collection, and patient collection departments within GNS. Cindi has over 25 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management and practice operations. She has managed both operations and revenue cycle management for small private practices, hospital employed physician groups, and ambulatory surgical centers.
Cindi received her Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University and her MBA from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business. She also is a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives and has obtained her CPC and CASCC through the American Academy of Professional Coders.
She resides in Chandler, Arizona with her husband and two children.
Director of Operations
Rebekah Guzman serves as Global Nephrology Solutions’ regional director of operations in the Florida market. In this role, she manages the operations and strategy development for each practice within the region. Rebekah has 25 years of healthcare experience with a focus on leading operations and process improvement; she is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, trainer, and change agent. She began her healthcare career as a clinician in physical therapy.
Rebekah received her Bachelor of Science in Business Management and her MBA from the University of Illinois.
She resides in Tampa, Florida with her husband.
Director of Operations
Lewis Moffit serves as Global Nephrology Solutions’ Regional Director of Operations in the Philadelphia and Atlanta markets. He is responsible for the operations, strategy and growth development for each practice within the region.
Before devoting his work fulltime to Global Nephrology Solutions, Lewis served in the United States Army as a Medical Operations Officer, as well holding operation roles with 2 other fortune 50 companies. His experience comes from multiple industries, including practice management, healthcare supply chain, and the military.
Lewis’ educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in business from Penn State University and a MBA from Temple University.
He currently resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with his wife, two children and two fur-children.
